Connie Edwards Mosher
Founder and Principal
Connie was raised in the Aquadale Community of Stanly County, North Carolina and graduated valedictorian from Albemarle High School in 1997. In 2000, she graduated magna cum laude from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and a minor in Accounting. She attended the University of North Carolina School of Law on a full tuition merit-based scholarship, where she was Executive Editor and a published author with the North Carolina Banking Institute Journal, coordinator of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance group, a volunteer with the Pro Bono Program and an active member of the Environmental Law Project. Connie earned her law degree from UNC in 2003. Following law school, she served as clerk to the Honorable Sanford L. Steelman, Jr., at the North Carolina Court of Appeals.
Connie focuses her practice on residential and commercial real estate, estate planning, and estate administration. Connie also represents several local municipalities and small businesses.
In addition to her law practice, Connie devotes substantial time to her community. She is currently serving her second term on the Board of Directors of the Albemarle Downtown Development Corporation. She also recently served two terms as President of the Board of Directors for Stanly Community Christian Ministry. In the past, she has worked with other local nonprofits including Hospice of Stanly County, the John Murray Community Care Clinic, and Sundays at Three as well as volunteering on the committee of her son's local BSA troop.
Connie resides in Albemarle with her husband, Jeff Mosher (a civil engineer and licensed highway contractor). Their son, Hunter Josey, is a recent graduate of Gray Stone Day School currently volunteering with the Baptists On Mission Hurricane Helene relief efforts team in Western North Carolina. Jeff and Hunter are both Eagle Scouts, and their family enjoys traveling and being outdoors together, especially sailing.

Tonya Graeff
Legal Assistant and Office Manager
Tonya is a native of Stanly County and graduated from Pfeiffer University in 1991 with a degree in Elementary Education. She is a retired educator who served thirty-one years in the classroom, twenty-eight of which were with Stanly County Schools. In 2022, Tonya joined the team at First Street Legal as a part time legal assistant.
Tonya and her husband, Shawn Graeff, also a retired educator and coach, reside in Albemarle. They have one daughter, Riley, a recent graduate of Appalachian State University who is pursuing a career in commercial photography in the Winston-Salem, North Carolina area. Tonya's family enjoys attending concerts and App State football games, discovering new restaurants, and vacationing together.
Hayley Peele
Legal and Administrative Assistant
Hayley is a native of Stanly County and a 2014 graduate of the Stanly Early College High School. Hayley joined First Street Legal in 2024. With a strong background in customer service, primarily in the dental and medical fields, Hayley has quickly become an indispensable part of the First Street Legal team.
Hayley and her husband, Walter Peele, reside in Albemarle. They have three children -- Joel, Mia and Everly.

Jan Blanton
Legal Assistant
Jan was raised in Asheboro, North Carolina and is a 1989 cum laude graduate of Wingate College with a major in English and minor in Psychology. Jan has over thirty years of experience in the legal field with a focus on real estate. She has also worked on the banking side of real estate transactions as a loan processor. Jan and Connie have worked together since 2014. In 2024, Jan and her husband, Mike, moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Jan now supports the First Street Legal team remotely in real estate and estate planning matters.
